There are many exits to the Lehigh Valley.
Leaving Hellertown on Easton Road, travelling southeast, leads into farm country immediately. Bank barns, stone churches and obscure roads named after old Pennsylvania-Dutch farmers are the rule.
Crossing over a summit on Valley View Road gives a vista that stretches well beyond the Delaware River to the agricultural landscape of New Jersey. I set up at an unoccupied fruit stand at the intersection of Buttermilk and Raubsville Road.
